The premises sits on the old Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway line, which was closed in 1959. The premises has one of the old station houses, which is now the main owners house. The line ran directly along the side of the kennels where the platform was situated.  The kennels is also situated on Peddars way.  In 1983 plans were submitted to build the kennels (The Paradise Dogotel). Over the next few years substantial work was undertaken to create the premises. In 1998 the kennels were sold and became (The Dogotel) further improvements were made. The kennels was also partly used for the RSPCA during the early stages of the second owners but eventually moved and located to Tilney All Saints leaving the kennels 100% for boarding customers. In 2008 the kennels were sold again and ran today still to a very high standard by the present owners

Oh and a staff room for the staff

  • Mrs Julie Nicholls 2022 to ?. Julie will be taking the kennels, grooming, hydrotherapy along with the staff onto the next level. They say behind every man there is a strong women and Julie will continue to grow the kennels and expanding in all other aspects of the business. The drive Julie brings to Dogotel along with daughter Lauren will exceed other kennels from personal/business.

Entering 39 years of kennelling with the 37th and 38th being the toughest yet due to the pandemic there is light at the end of the tunnel and we will continue to provide the service at 100% as we have always done.
